Does anybody know.....

http://livewiththewizard.twinspires....-thoughts.html

Anybody know what the "INEXCUSABLE ERRORS" were? IMO, I thought NYRA was starting to getting it right.

Round Pen 10-27-2008 05:15 PM

Not sure what it is but he does say that it is information that NYRA is giving and then he caught the mistake and passed it on.

I did like the overall Ideal of Livewiththewizard on Occasion i did look at what he had to say. I am not sure how succesful he was for the meet though.

And i will probably check him out again once the FG gets going.

Andy, I have no problem with your hire or info. As a player, I can take it or leave it. I want to know what the "errors" were. I think you've kicked it it up from a TV standpoint. I want the Wiz to tell what the "errors" were.
As a side, I'll be interested what you and Jason do for interest in the middle of winter. However, Aqueduct is still our biggest handle despite Gulfstream racing.

Interesting, sounds like he was genuinely trying to help the player, there is always a back story though.

I was joking.

As for Michael's comment.....it is disgraceful and deserves no discussion. Unless he specifically lists these supposed errors then his comments are at best a cheap shot.

As far as our show during the winter, I like Aqueduct racing, and have personally done better there over the last few years than the other tracks. I do realize, however, that it can get a bit stagnent, and have already talked a lot about working hard to make things as interesting as possible. One thing we plan to do is discuss one race out of town, Gulfstream or Fair Grounds in all likelihood, each day as we get into the real winter. Probably a turf race.

One thing I don't have is trouble staying enthusiastic about racing on a daily basis.

Maybe you were joking. My guess is that may be the reason.
Aqueduct is 7 months +. You have to push the product. The "out of town" stuff sounds good. Yes, you are enthusiastic. Keep moving forward.

I don't get what you are saying....are you saying Michael had a problem with something I said? I highly doubt that.

Please, Aqueduct is six months.......there's no reason for you to make it any longer.

I don't know what is in the mind of the WIZ. No one does. Michael has a problem with everthing and everybody.
Aqueduct is long. 6 months, 7 months, seems like forever. Just do what is necessary to promote the product for what it is.

BTW, Mucker is implying (I think) that maybe the WIZ is pissed that you are doing the paddock commentary, complete with actual betting strategies. That you "are' the error!
I agree that what you guys are doing in the paddock is better than any other and trust me, I sit and watch about 5simulcast feeds a day.
I'm sure that BTW will be as enthusiastic about $15n2LNYbreds in Feb if there's a betting angle to exploit!

Thanks.

You really think Michael thinks that? I honestly haven't talked to him in a few years but we used to get along well.

It just doesn't make sense to me. I am paid by NYRA to give information to their fans. Of course everyone doesn't like me, but the next best thing to being loved is being hated, so I wonder why Michael would consider me doing the show any kind of error. But, who the hell knows....or even really cares. To each his or her own.

Linny 10-27-2008 08:32 PM

I have no idea what WIZ thinks but I can think of no other major changes that he could be aware of from his basement bunker. It's not like he's at the track as he's doing the blog so what errors would or could he be aware of?
just a guess, the ways of the WIZARD are inscrutable...

Good Riddence - Down with the Wiz

I rather hear Andy's comments on NY racing !

Linny 10-27-2008 08:46 PM

Agree or disagree with Andy, he and Jason do a very good job.

Jay. I have a friend at the OTB that lives and dies with the wizards plays. Prints them out every day and brings them with him. Never buys a form and not real sure he even knows how to read one. But he admittedly says he is a gambler and not a handicapper.

It's way better than being called "The Douche Bag"...... Predator's Pick's has a nice ring to it.

Yeah...too scary. The sissy wouldn't work either. Now, if you passed yourself off as some hot ass chick and maybe post a picture on your tip sheet home page (Use Thebby's picture, she won't mind) and called yourself The Hussy...I think that idea has some merit. Just don't forget my royalties.
