Closing day at a track that never came off the turf before they installed the synthetic surface.

The new trend at Keeneland of rushing to take races off the turf is an absolute admission that they have two turf courses....and no dirt ones.

maybe eventually tracks who have a turf course won't. a lot of money to maintain them, isn't it? that thought just came to me, is that what might evenetually happen at some tracks?

Its cloudy and cold but supposed to be sunny and windy later, we didn't get that much rain yesterday. Just stupid on keeneland's part

It poured rain through much of Thursday night and rained steady and fairly hard at times all day Friday in Lexington and at Keeneland. Very soaked.

Didn't get much in Georgetown, however.

SINCE I AM AT THE BREEDERS CUP, AND THEY ONLY ALLOW YOU TO BET THEIR TRACK AND GOLDEN GATE, UNBELIEVABLE! I HAVE DECIDED TO STAY SATURDAY IN THE HOTEL, BET BY COMPUTER, AND BET ALL THE TRACKS I WANT. PLUS BE AIR CONDITIONED WITH A 42 INCH SCREEN AND NOT FIGHT TRAFFIC OR STOOPERS. 3 STRAIGHT DAYS AT A RACETRACK IS ENOUGH FOR ANYBODY.:zz:

I was going to go to the OTB and be with friends but after he called to tell me that the place doesn't have their act together (worst than usual) I am staying away from that and betting from the comfort of my own home.
