Alysheba is Coming Home
http://news.bloodhorse.com/article/47699.htm
I'm very excited. I've been plotting and planning a new visit to the Kentucky Horse Park for awhile now and maybe this was some sort of sign. I wasn't meant to go back til now. I haven't been able to since Bold Forbes, Forego, and John Henry graced us with their presence (seriously BF was a total ham, had people cracking up as I tried to get a good shot of him). I hope Alysheba is as comfortable as he can be. It's an interesting time of year to bring him over. I assume he was ready to be pensioned. I never got to see him run (not that I wasn't around, I just wasn't following racing on tv) so this is a great opportunity. |
very good news. looking forward to our next trip to KHP.

I was there, and even after watching it umpteen times in replay, it still gives me a charge to watch Alysheba win the Classic.
Cool that he'll be in a stall right across from another personal favorite, Cigar. --Dunbar |
One of the coolest horses ever.
Does anyone know how he did at stud in Saudi Arabia? |
glad to hear he's coming back. i believe he's not the oldest living derby winner with genuine risks passing. i named a dog after this horse. loved his derby win, and enjoyed him throughout his career. hope he likes his new home.
