Should've retired the horse last year.

Cannon, have you considered a long range sniper rifle with silencer? I have one under my bed for this kind of situation

Well doesn't that go down as one of the more idiotic statements made on this blog. Sometimes I think you just crave the attention so much any form of attention just gives you a glow all over. There, feel better?:zz:

Can someone explain why the Met Mile is still considered a "great stallion-making race":

Here are the last 20 winners:

Gulch
Proper Reality
Criminal Type
In Excess
Dixie Brass
Ibero
Holy Bull
You And I
Honour And Glory
Langfuhr
Wild Rush
Sir Bear
Yankee Victor
Exciting Story
Swept Overboard
Aldeberan
Pico Central
Ghostzapper
Silver Train
Corinthian
Divine Park

Pretty good observation... only 5 out of 15 with foals of racing age could really be considered "good" sires.

The question is, was he saying that the race is great for making stallions regardless of quality or the race makes great stallions?

Actually I just weed out the idiots with my sarcasm. Of course weeding out you was easy. You're like a giant neon sign that reads, "Colossal Idiot"

maybe you need to go further back in the list, since the last few years' winners have just gotten their second career started? too soon to tell what some of those guys will do as sires.
i'd imagine tho that they call it a stallion making race because it seems many like milers for sires, and the met mile is certainly our preeminent mile race.

At least Holy Bull has sired a Derby winner :)
