Belmont 10-12 Carryover Thoughts

race 5; Wide slap open...any thoughts on this one? Venatrix looks interesting stumbling in debut. Fast Tigress also looks to improve back on the lawn.

What do you think?

I think this sequence as about as unhittable as they come. I played around with it for several hours last night and came up with some decent P3's but couldn't see risking 4-5 grand on a ticket to cover it well

Not sure you were asking anyone in particular but I am leaning against Venatrix. Best bred of the entry for Turf and while she stumbled badly, she didn't seem to like the poly and didn't seem to like the turf at Saratoga on 9/1. This is a very tough race. I am looking at the 4 Strike the Bell who will like the added distance and was checked while on the inside which isn't a great place to be checked for a first time starter. But I'm also looking at the 6, Warm Shower who will love the distance, great breeding and seems to have rounded into shape with that final work. I just don't like the 1 month break in works. Finally, I am killing myself with the 9 Seeking Luck. Blinks, which I wouldn't be surprised if Coa advised Tagg to do, has okay works for this and showed some speed in her first race. Tough group of horses.

The 8th looks wide open to me, but I think Key Event has a good shot here at a price, assuming that Casey's Joy isn't allowed to walk around the park.

Every race looks wide open. 11/1 hits the first leg.

Agreed, I am trying to put together a pk4 and am having a tough time. The 10th is just hard enough to find a horse willing to win, and even though Western Decision technically has won, I can even trust him to win.

The 1,3,5,6 look interesting. Gift of Giving's last two races were against open company and he has the blinks on. Interesting angle. But who the heck knows. Linda's kisses should like the added distance. Dear Contender looks to be the best closer. And then there is Western Decision who was dq'd but that race was against a more mediocre bunch than these and a few here would have won that.

"I ain't bettn no more today" Except for my friends horse at Keenland in the stake. Go Big Stick!
