RIP old girl...

remember her as a great one. but just shows what a crapshoot the breeding game is. she sold for 5.5 mill as a broodmare and produced only 1 stake placed performer!

I am not totally sure, but i think when she was sold to Mr Aubin for 5 million, it was the highest price ever paid for a mare.
Mr Aubin owned a farm close to Houston, in Brenham....a very nice guy, but i think he was convicted of tax fraud, or something like that..

Bob Connors bought her as a yearling for The Tuckers, who raced her. Florida residents, they sent her to the late Frank Gomez whose career has always been tied to her exploits. Neil Drysdale took over for her 4 year old year.

I have an old newswire photo in my collection. It was indeed a record ($5.5million). She was in foal to Danzig at the time and produced Ole' from that breeding.
