McCain 2.75-to-1

And you can bet over $700 on him at that price in the Ehorse market. Obama is a 1-to-3 favorite.

He needs to shake things up again.

ateamstupid 10-02-2008 10:46 AM

Any idea what Bush's odds were around this time four years ago?

Either some Jethro is gunna try to kill OBA, or McCaine's people are gunna find some love child he fathered with a White woman.

Palin is a wildcard. If she freaks (like good freak like in a horse way) tonight like she did at the convention, things can turn really quick.

SCUDSBROTHER 10-02-2008 11:02 AM

RING-ring....RING-ring..... Bring in Karl Rove(He can manipulate anything.)

Mike 10-02-2008 11:18 AM

I'm surprised we haven't seen some old flame of Obama's from his coke using days interviewed. Maybe a white woman, crying, saying how he treated her rough, did a Kobe and grabbed her by the throat, that kind of thing. Where are these ladies?

ateamstupid 10-02-2008 12:40 PM

LOL @ the line of democrats who can't deal with having a lead, bracing for the dirty tactic or some other rapid turn of the odds.

I know the way the Republicans start to think Machiavellian. They won't stop at anything. Everything is on the table. Look at everything they've thrown at the wall in the last 2 weeks. They haven't started the dirty stuff yet. They will. When you have Karl Rove and Dick Morris on your side, then nothing is too dirty. Karl Rove had a fight with McCain over the V.P. selection though. Rove wanted Romney, and McCain got mad and went maverick(boy, did he ever.)

I'm not disagreeing, I just thought it was funny. I think this is a campaign that's more or less given up though. I think they realize that they're probably not going to win, and I think they know that Axelrod can match every one of their moves if they try something slick. We'll see though.

SniperSB23 10-02-2008 03:07 PM

Wow, he pulled out of Michigan today. Did not expect that.

The Indomitable DrugS 10-02-2008 03:45 PM

Keep in mind that I'm unqualified to handicap an election - but McCain has always felt like toast to me.

It might have to take a music video by the authentic Osama bin Laden singing that "I have a crush on Obama" song to even keep this one close in the end.

I realize handicapping the outcome of a war is different than a political contest - but the five factors that govern the art of war all favor Obama. They are Moral Law, Heaven, Earth, the Commander, and method and discipline.

* The Moral Law in a political sense is passion for the candidate by his base.

* In war, Heaven signifies night and day - time and season - cold and heat. In a political sense it signifies the state of the current political enviornment.

* In a political sense - Earth would signify the electoral college map if we are talking about a Presidential Election.

* In a political sense - the commander would be the candidate.

* In a political sense I think method and discipline would be the way a campaign is orginized and run

#'s 1, 2, and 3 all strongly favor Obama. I think #'s 4 and 5 do as well - but perhaps not by as lopsided a margin. Keep in mind the way Obama owned Hillary Clinton in primary caucuses when comparing method and discipline.

The Clinton's can out rove Rove
anytime, anyplace. If Obama can
take down Hillary, he can take down anyone.

And Obama knows how to play rough.
Very rough. Again, check out how he got
a spot in the Illinois legislature. What he pulled
to win that election.

dala...I am shocked you said this ...you get a :tro: :tro: from me for being honest on Palin here.

You have tended to pile on..and that I do understand...but reality is reality..if she hits a home run...the game will chance quickly.

One would think that with all this economic stuff Obama would be up by 15 % - but strangely he is not.

Do you have a thought as to why he isn't?
