Nice field, I would be SHOCKED if You and I Forever stays at 15-1 though, with the way MIS ran in the Travers...

Yeah, that M/L seems a little screwy.

I hope Zayet lets Alan out of riding here. Poor kid has a shot at Leading Rider in Saratoga and they are having a hard time finding a rider to replace him.

You and I Forever has a dismal post - he'll be lucky to hit the board, unfortunately.

Poor kid?

He's making $100,000 a month.

He and his agent is reneging on a committment.

He should ride the horse.

Sun King won this thing by open lengths from the 14 hole. He wasn't THAT great.

The Turf Monster Handicap...now a major prep for the Breeder's Cup. I don't know if I should laugh or cry.

I want to know what Garcia and his agent were thinking when they committed to that ridiculous joke Alaazo.

Power Game

I am intrigued by Power Game. Shug ships this lightly raced colt who ran a huge fig last time out at Mth that compares well with the favorites in this race in his 2nd start. Always like lightly raced horses who often keep on improving. Hate the post position though. But at 12-1 might take a stab with a light wager for Win and Place.

so, who won? I had to leave before the race and forgot to look it up when I got back and can't look it up now?

did Anak Nakal run well?

cakes44 09-02-2008 12:27 PM

Of course he ran huge...have you ever seen him not run a monster race? I know he's a poor man's Zanjero, but that is good enough to win the Pennsylvania Derby and be a millionaire by the end of the year with this crop.

I haven't seen the race either. Did Acai run a narrow second and Smooth Air third?

Not narrow, but he wasn't stopping, at least from what I can tell. Pretty impressive, but as someone said on another board, hard to figure the effort given where it was run, and how tough the regulations are there.

I don't think I have read a chart loaded with comments like that for Anak Nakal. I liked the horse for this one but didn't want to deposit more money in my account - took my friend's dog for a walk, forgot about the race and just wondered how it turned out while I was at work... $344 exacta

dang... I saved money, again
