Pk 4s today? i was at work all day but just got to loooking at the results and the 1st one was out of control but the 2nd paid pretty damn good as well. I figured that it would just couldnt see how i could have hit it without at least spending 200-500 and i just can't do that.

Nope. i singled indyanne on the pick 3 leading up to her race and starting off the pick 4.

Go figure...you have a will pay pick 3 of a 1000 dollars and you are singled to the 1/2 shot...and you lose. (I had ALL in the 88-1 race for those that would accuse me of redboarding a losing ticket.LOL)

Anyway, i hope someone hit it. None of the races were illogical.

Personally I felt it was a wasted day for what I thought was pretty good handicapping, what makes it palatable is I was also very lucky to get to the 4th leg, as my 3rd, 4th, and 3rd picks deep got me to the 4th leg alive. But the only thing that matters is the goose egg. Oh well it was fun while it lasted.

In retrospect, I'm just a tad PO'd at myself for not looking a few times at Porte Bonheur before singling Indyanne.

But truth be known, if it didn't seem like Indyanne was an obvious single, I probably wouldn't have attempted the Pick 4 wager.

i only handicapped the 4 stakes races. i went 0 for 3 on winners to start so skipped the travers when i saw colonel john wasn't going to be the 6-1 i wanted.

Honestly I wouldn't have had Colonial John even if I spread 3 deep.

i don't think 4-1 offered any value but i'm surprised that anyone would dismiss him having any chance.

he's adequate and he's running against pygmy's.

BBB and I did. (see his Travers post)

We were able to eek it out on a $18 ticket.

I dismissed him mostly because he had not run well on dirt, though it was only 1 race and that race was the derby.

Didn't get the best trip there, but I did think he showed some guts in the stretch.
