Was tough to get motivated by Thursday card with late start to the capping and well-founded concern for off-turf changes. Day dawns with fair skies but prospect for rain a daunting issue yet again. Expect the featured Lake Placid to stay on turf with 5th, 7th and 9th iffy. Good news is extended forecast is clear and dry through Travers Day. Hope you did OK Thursday as it figured to be tough to score after Wednesday's insanity.

The Lake Placid is on....the others are off.

Thx Andy. Forecast not great next 18 hours before we get break from this relentless precip. Am sure they'll do all they can to keep the feature on the lawn, but don't hold your breath. Will make changes to selections after SCR's are announced.

Why did the bettors make Red Seven the odds on fave in the 4th?

She looked like the controlling speed, but I agree that she got overbet, as she always does. That's three losses in a row as the chalk for her.
