i just was listening to down the stretch with mark and mike
they had rick dutrow on
and he said something i never knew
he said new york has a rule that you cant put blinkers on after a win
did i hear that wrong?why have a rule like that if i heard it right?what possibly would the rule be looking for there?
i must have heard it wrong,i cant invision that new york state would care if you added blinkers or not

I think it's the same in California. You can make equipment changes in a effort to win with a losing horse, but you cant make changes with a winning horse without good reason.

I believe that you can make the change with the stewards permission if you have a really good reason like the horse bearing out a great deal.

Does Dutrow think that Big Brown's sore feet won't cause him to veer out if he wears blinkers

I didnt listen to the show but im pretty sure he was referring to Acai.
