Between the Haskell, Jim Dandy, and WVA Derby - you have over $2 million in purses awarded to some comically bad fields.

Less tracks, fewer races. That's what's needed. Not more.

If Pig Brown can't win this race, they should be really worried.

Wouldn't be surprised if one of Zito's slugs won this race. Da Tara beat Big Brown and he doesn't appear to be as fast as Coal Play.

Big Brown is the best horse. And I think he might have been trained well enough to be fit for this. I just hate to bet horses with Kenny Desormaux on board. You never know what kind of ride you are going to get. He loses his cool easily and then it's anybodys race.

yeah, he has only won 5,000 races........

17% win clip is not bad either.

Understand defending Desormeaux's career accomplishments overall, but he's totally unfocused and struggling mightily right now. His mind is elsewhere currently and he has ridden poorly historically when distracted.

Splitting hairs, but aren't they giving $750,000 away?
