Seven horses tested positive for steroids at Presque Isle Downs in a 4 week span starting on opening day (May 9th) and ending on June 1st. Steroids are no longer legal in PA as of April.

May 22nd: In Grand Style (trainer: Eric Reed, result: Win)

May 24th: Nereus (trainer: Tom Amoss, result: 3rd)

May 29th: Lotsa Ileana (trainer: Ryan Beattie, result: 2nd)

May 30th: Abbalicous (trainer: Todd Beattie, result: Win)

June 1st: Inheritance Lost (trainer: Doug Johnson, result: Win)


Nice to see a Beattie family trifecta. What on earth is Doug Johnson doing on a list with those other six names?
