BEYLA - 7th race DMR

What was the main factor why this horse was dropped from 15-1 M/L to 7-2?

bad morning line......the horse fit in this race BEFORE the Mitchell claim, factor that in and the horse made alot of sense.

Who ever is making the Del Mar ML has been way way off so far this week, this is not the first instance.

and the other Mitchell horse a late scratch also played with the odds.

He was 5-2 opening then drifted up to 4-1 until the scratch.

Mitchell jumping up in class with a horse switching from synthetic to turf and was 0-2 on the turf previously.

It was probably the owner and mitchell who drove down the odds.

I was looking at the PPs on Friday and was like how in the hell does this horse become 15-1? Yes he was 0-2 on the turf BUT his best races came on the Turf (figures wise). He is trained by Mike Mitchell who is notorious for moving horses up big time and winning (ALA Kilderry, Ever a Friend, On the Acorn, Star over the Bay, Big Booster, Church Service etc).

True...but Bejarano jumps off to ride the 1 and rosario chooses the 4 to ride instead. I know the reason for jockey choices as to which horse to ride can vary (and they are often wrong) but it is yet another detail that i pay attention to.

I know what you are saying but ON PAPER this horse looked closer to 15-1 than 7/2 in my opinion.

Did you cash?

I cashed on the pick 3 and keyed him in my pick 4 but lost it not having Zardana. I noticed the Jock change too but Blanc/Mitchell is clipping at 38% so I did not consider Bejarano choosing the other horse. The connections were probably not the only ones bringing him down because the Exotics (multi-race wagers) paid very low too.
