Mr Luzzi/Storm Harbor

Anyone get stabbed yesterday by Luz Bucket in the 8th at Big Sandy. I watch the replay a few times, I still don't like his wipe action the final 150 yards. This one hurts, could've used the cheddar going into the Spa meet. Horse had slow fractions, and controlled the race. I guess he just wasn't that good. Nice ride by Calvin Borel.

It was actually Jean-Luc Samyn on the winner. I'm no Luzzi fan but I think he rode a pretty good race there and was just narrowly beaten in the last jump. I can't find fault with it, but it was obviously a tough beat. There'll be more opportunities down the road.

And just about the nicest ride you'd want from Samyn. He did EVERYTHING right in the race. Luzzi didn't do anything wrong (surprisingly, I know) and was just another victim in a what is a steady stream of the best horse not winning the race on the turf.
