Arlington Million winner

has just won at Ascot - Archipenko...

Why don't the Curlin folks take a shot at the Million? I guess they want to get a race with right hand turns under his belt. Of course, if he flops today, who knows what they do with him.

They want a 12F race over the course. Same type of tactics they used in Dubai. Get a race over the same course at the same distance as a warm-up to the big race.

Hurt and needed time off but is back in training, from what I understand he is still aways to go before a return to the track.

Archi is a serious top class horse, if he comes he would be very tough.

I think they said on HRTV last week he, Jambalaya, is seriously hurt again as he resumed training, but I can't find it on either BH or HRTV.

EDIT: Well I can't find it anywhere, but I know it was on HRTV on RDA, and it was fairly serious injury if anyone else remembers can you post it.

he was clearly not fancied today as well, sent off at 11-1, so the fact he won easy enough bodes well. I was kinda hoping he wouldnt win so i could get a better price for the million..

he is notoriously difficult to train so getting him to arlington will prob be the biggest challenge.

Beat a really nice field home, too.

Found out the details on Jambalaya.
He had returned to light training and after a minor workout a month ago he came up lame in a different leg, right hind. They thought it was a muscle injury, didn't seem to heal and they did radiographs and then a bone scan. Nothing has turned up so they are back to thinking muscle injury and giving him time off. I hope it all works out for his very nice connections.
