Zulu Chief

I know he won on Wednesday but didnt realise it was by 20 Lengths  That almost never happens here, and Murtagh spoke of how highly they rate him.. one to watch..

He's a half bro to Aidan O'Brien's top rated horse Hawk Wing..

OMG...there's a horse called Zulu Chief!!!!

Well I'm on the bandwagon just for his name, but your description sounds very impressive.
Long story but one of my best dogs that recently passed was called Shaka Zulu. He was big and black, in a tribe of pretty blue eyed spotted dogs, and a champion.
Any links please, pics?

good to see ya on the bandwagon..

He has been hyped all year, and when he made his debut at Newmarket I was pretty excited to see him, and to use a phrase that perhaps only Brock will understand, he wasn't off a yard that day, but still ran well.

They might even consider something like the Juddmonte International for him.

When we saw a horse "wasn't off" or "wasn't off a yard" it means they weren't really there to win, either they weren't fit enough to run to their ability or they were just there to get a run under it's belt. At Newmarket, he wasn't there to win, just to get a bit of experience.

OK I see. Then that would make this race even more impressive right?
Very nice you got to see him.

ArlJim78 07-15-2008 05:51 PM

how old is he and where might we see him headed next?

jaripeo 07-15-2008 08:17 PM

I LIKE THE NAME.
HE HAS A FULL SISTER, A FILLY THAT HASNT SHOW MUCH (RACE FOR THE STARS) AND A 2 YEARS OLD FULL BROTHER (BLACK RIVER FALL) THAT MAY RUN IN OCTUBER.
THIS ZULU CHIEF IN HIS FIRST RUN CAME IN JUST FALLOING THE BUNCH. MAYBE NEXT RACE WILL FINE IF HIS IS DIFERENT OF HIS SIBILS.
IM NOT TO FAN OF FUSAISHI PROGENITY.

He'd be a fun horse to own, but I'm confident I'd have more fun with Nicky, not convinced she'd be cheap, either. :D
