A couple of Big Beyers

118 for Bribon at Belmont - and a 109 for the 3yo filly Sweet Hope in her Larry Jones barn debut.

I haven't looked at Sweet Hope, but the Bribon race looks fraudulent. It was the only mile race run on a turf laden card. To believe 118, you also have to believe the runner up and the heavily raced Shuffling Madness recorded lifetime bests while getting drubbed. Good luck with that to those betting those numbers.

Oh wait, the Sweet Hope race was at Delaware early in the week I think. I gave it a 104. Doesn't matter, it was at Delaware anyway.

If Shuffling Maddness lost by 10 1/2 lengths, which he did, doesn't that mean he got a 97? That actually fits his good races ( and he must have run well.....I bet him;) ).

On the other hand, 118 for Bribon does seem pretty crazy. I guess I bet him a start too soon.

Yeah, it is a 97. He had a 97 and a 98 previously. Maybe he ran his best, but it sure didn't look it to me.

Just to get a better understanding, how come? Thanks in advance :)

Did Prado have a mount in the race? That might go a long way towards explaining things.
