The Moother Goose is really sad - even though the quality of the field is probably better than the Suburban, at least that race has 8 horses. . .

I'm far more concerned with having a good betting race. . .
|
4 horse field
Even Curlin drew 9 others in the Foster. |
Glad I didn't make plans to go to Belmont this weekend. Dreadful.
|
Proud Spell can win the 8th and come back to win the 9th.... this edition of the Surburban is the most pathetic Grade I historic race ever!

At least the Meadow Star v. Lite Light produced something good despite a 4 horse field!

what the hell is Pletcher doing with Circular Quay?
He was working like clockwork at Churchill for 6 weeks, skipped the Stephen Foster and has been working at belmont the past 3 weeks, assuming for the race on Saturday. Obviously he's no monster, but in this handicap division, he has to be able to be competitive in a filed like the suburban. |

Tiago is better suited for dirt, why is he in the Suburban?
Plus some of us could use the points for RTTBC. |
For the record though, the rest of Saturday's card at Belmont is very good.
|
Any thoughts on the 2nd Dutrow horse in there?
Or Harlington? |

But Harlington is interesting. Frail little horse, but no doubt he is bred to be class. He probably got something out of his last race, and besides, you could totally give him the mud excuse. He's been putting in solid works. And if he returns to (very) old form, running 4th to Invasor would still probably put him 27 lengths ahead of this field. |
