Status of Crossing the Line

I don't know if this is where questions are posted, but does anyone know the status of the New Zealand bred Crossing the Line?

He is with John Sadler and was arguably one of the top grass milers in the world last year until he got hurt.

I thought he was going to run this summer but have heard nothing.

Thanks.

It was mentioned in either the DRF or the Hollywood Park barn notes about a month or two ago that he was back in training. Whether he's actually breezing or not, I'm not sure.

Yeah, the article that mentioned his returned suggested he'd be ready to run at the end of the Hollywood meet.

Guess that ain't happening.

As long as he gets a prep in before the BC I'll be happy. He's superior to Kip Deville. (If healthy)

Has this horse been retired? Have seen nothing in the public works.

Someone who knows Sadlers Barn mentioned (on a different forum)CTL has not even started to seriously gallop(this was as of the beginning of DM)

I doubt he will be back for the BC.

Hopefully for HP Fall or SA Winter.

I am sure they are in no rush considering they have Black Mamba.

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that they wouldn't be pointing Crossing the Line to the FM Turf.

That's one of the new changes to the BC this year. In order to market the Breeders Cup to all eunuchs out there, they are allowing geldings into the filly and mare races.

Give them two more years, we'll have BC Gelding Thursdays.

Actually the point was they already have to write a $300K check to run the one and I doubt they are going to break out another check for a few hundred thousand to run the another.

Looks like the Sniper got sniped on this one...
