If they go.. they'd better make sure he goes over there "clean". They are very strict in their drug policy...Not insinuating by any means, but he can't even have bute in his system. Would love to see him go over there tho and win. :) Won't hold my breath on it happening, but it appears that there is a chance. I say Go for it!!

True, the supposedly 'clean' japanese horse got a positive test in the Arc a few back. Deep Impact maybe?

Yes.. Had a miniscule amount, but was D.Q'd for too much bute if I remember correctly... Asmussen best tread carefully if he goes..I am sure he is aware of the guidelines and most likely not go....

That damn Deep Impact was an impressive horse.

Can't believe he was beaten there.

It was a breathing medication called ipratroprium.

was not bute, an antihistimine of some sort. Usually you can send samples to have them tested to ensure that you wont have a problem.

chuck, dont you wake up early ? like 3-4 am ? i thought thats the schedule for most trainers.

The Indomitable DrugS 06-15-2008 10:18 PM

Not Philly Park trainer Steve Krebs.

He once told a board back in the day: "I can stay on here and post for 23 straight hours everyday and I'll still win at over 20%. I'm THAT good."

Krebs was an old Scott Lake asst who felt the need to troll the AOL board trumpeting the greatness that is Scott Lake.

Perhaps the only horse trainer/horsey board troll I've ever seen - but that man was nails!

THis was mentioned in the l'ville paper this am. I remember when Barbaro's owners said that after tc chase they were seriously considering doing this as Barclay Tagg said that BArbaro was the best grass horse he had ever seen. We all know what happened. I said that if an American horse that i think can win goes over for that ive GOT to be there for it. My ? is do we think that Curlin can go over the lawn? i know he is fast and tought as nails but i wonder if he has that acceleration that it takes to win the big races on the turf esp in an event like this. i seem to remember thinking that his lack of instant burst is what caust him in the Belmont as Rags quickened a lot faster then he did. Now he did get right there with her but i would have to see a grass race of his before shelling out what 3k? to go to Paris. Man would it not be fun to go over there and if he were to dominate Paris may never be the same b/c i would friggin go wild. I've been on here before not exactly with the curlin lovefest but the fact that they brought him back to run at 4 shows me something. In the article today the writer wrote that they are losing 15 million dollars this year by not having him at stud. Would love to see it happen. There going workout on the grass here at CD. Man i'd love to see that.
