Make money. My perception of Darley iand makng a profit is not there purpose, Dominance and monopoly are more of my idea of Darley. I also wonder why your response always has a tone as to belittle the question as stupid.

That is because it kinda was. You obviously KNEW about their breeding operation so one can assume you understood what Darley was about.....

Actually, it didn't belittle the question at all. It invited the mental exercise of walking through the whys and wherefores of auction economics to sniff out the the logical answer. Its' the same process BTW urges players to use when thinking about race outcomes or pace scenarios, etc.

Give a man a fish and he eats for a day.. Teach a man to fish and he eats a lifetime... or however that goes.

You can only find a tone if you were looking for one. In this case, I can only guess, you must have thought your question was stupid, as I was just asking the logical question that would lead you to the obvious answer. There was no tone intended on my part. It's too early in the morning for me to be unnecessarily surly.

Give me a couple of hours.

So, do they sell any of their young ones?

The world is run by one million evil men, five million stupid men and fifty million cowardly men. The one million are the truly rich and powerful whose decisions really matter. The five million are the standing armies of countries who give their blood for the one million who use them as chess pieces. The five million are the bureaucrats who justify their actions as merely following orders while looking the other way and perpetuating the rule of evil men. ... something like that.

Actually, with their purchase of Fasig-Tipton, it will be interesting to see if their buying/selling patterns change. Will they start to sell? Will they limit purchases to particular venues (FT over Keeneland)? Will it impact what sales consignors emphasize?
