SAT - CD PK4, Ohio Derby, & Sands Point

Churchill Downs

R8 - G3 Dogwood

#1 Alina - In career form since switching to the Asmussen barn that includes an impressive 2nd in the G2 Fantasy at OP (Eight Belles 1st & Pure Clan 3rd). Looks to turn the tables on a couple that are also coming out of the G3 La Troien earlier in the month at CD.
#2 Keep the Peace - Just missed in the aforementioned La Troien to the talented Game Face. Should be a major factor again.
#6 Tiz to Dream - If the pace gets too hot expect her to pick them up late.
#4 Secret Gypsy - They will have to reel her in to earn a date with the camera person (pc).

R9 - Opening Verse Handicap 100K (Turf)

# 5 Yate's Black Cat (BEST BET) - Made a nice account of himself in the G1 Turf Classic on Derby Day. Loves the Matt Wynn turf course and today's distance. Trujillo has come back strong since his injury. Lots to like at a decent price. Taking the plunge.
#7 Seaside Retreat - Handled a decent group last out and has the talent to make some noise in this division.
#2 Corrupt - Has been successful at CD and is heading in the right direction for Howard. Extremely game in latest triumph and things didn't exactly go his way that day.
#10 Cloudy's Knight - Holds a huge class edge, but one has to wonder if this is a prep for a graded race at a longer distance.

R10 - G3 Aristides

#6 Noonmark - There is an abundance of speed and he looks to get first run at them as they turn for home. Perfect draw for his running style.
#5 Kelly's Landing - Expect him to be tighter for this event and he's more than capable of running them all down. Downgrade his chances significantly if the track comes up wet.
#4 Indian Chant - Has been the favorite in his last 10 starts and will be here as well. Theriot will launched him as soon as the gates open.
#2 Elite Squadron - Superb effort in the G2 CD on Derby day. Difficult seeing him duplicate that performance.

R11 - MSW 41K (Turf)

#3 Press Leak - Makes '08 debut after burning some $$$ last summer. Nonetheless a deserving favorite with this bunch, but no sure thing.
#10 Sause Bernaise - Mott runner showed some speed in last race and should improved at today's shorter distance.
#9 Gloria Goodbody - Made a nice run at 26-1 versus similar and must be included.
#6 Lucky Flyer - Started her career with two 2nd place finishes sprinting at TBD. Training well at KEE for turf and route debut.

PK4 - 1 2 4 6 / 5 / 5 6 4 / 3 6 9 10 = $48

Thistledown

R9 - G2 Ohio Derby

#2 Medjool - Only a maiden win to his credit, but has displayed some talent. New barn (Matz) and trying the conventional dirt for the 1st time. Top Choice.
#1 Smooth Air - Only off the board finish was in the Derby and he's the only one to come somewhat close to Big Brown.
#3 Your Round - Fits well and with a slight improvement he'll be a major player for all slots.
#7 Z Fortune - Is he burnt out from the Derby Trail or does he have too much back class for these?

Ex & Tri - 2 / 1 3 7 - (1st & 2nd positions)

Belmont Park

R9 - G2 Sands Point (Turf)

#2 Life is Sweet - Full sister to champion filly Sweet Catomine will be mowing them down late with a clean trip.
#7 I lost My Choo - Perfect at GP and respectable in KEE.
#4 Alwajeeha - Coming off G3 win at KEE, but must validate that win here.
#6 Raw Silk - Steps up in competition, but will take them a long way on the front end.

W/P #2
Ex Bx 2 / 4 6 7

Good Racing Luck

very upset right now, needed noonmark for the pick 3... $2 on it.
and to be alive in the pick 4, with the 3 singled in the last end, AMAZED THAT NOONMARK DID NOT GET UP FOR THE WIN WITH THAT SETUP, AMAZED AND UPSET

Thanks Chuck, I'll take it and I'm glad the month of May is over. Raw Silk got loose and had something in reserve. PK4's have been beating me up, but I'll keep firing away.

JCS, No excuse for Noonmark not getting by the winner in the last few jumps. I played the late DD 6 3 myself.

Some defeats sting more than others.

Talk about hanging defeats... I played Noonmark, heavy, as well. Almost impossible he didn't win that race.

Even worse, I played the 8 at 76-1 in the finale and at the top of the stretch I thought she might get there.
