Happy Boy to Europe

are Godolphin insane? Yes.. DrugS wont be "happy" about this one!!

from the racingpost:

Happy Boy, in action on the Limekilns trial ground under Frankie Dettori on Tuesday, will also be in action at Sandown on Thursday week when he makes his debut for Godolphin in the Group 3 Betfair Brigadier Gerard Stakes.

The ex-Brazilian-trained horse was a nine-length winner of a round of the Maktoum Challenge at Nad Al Sheba in January, but a leg infection caused him to miss the Dubai World Cup.

Godolphin's racing manager Simon Crisford said: “The plan is to go for the Brigadier Gerard, and we'll take it from there with him.”

The Indomitable DrugS 05-21-2008 02:10 PM

Godolphin is incompetent.

If their thing was baseball instead of horse racing - They would have the American Leauge All-Star team roster playing in the MLB and the National Leauage All-Star roster would be their Triple A farm team.

They would go 7 games over .500 and get swept in the wildcard with their MLB team. Their AAA team would also find a way to not win a championship.

Johan Santana would probably be playing catcher in hopes to improve the number of base runners thrown out - David Ortiz would probably be the 9th inning closer because of how clutch he is - and Albert Pujols would be used in pinch hit roles only.

I doubt Happy Boy will prove to be much of a turf horse. I guess I will have to wait for the '09 Dubai Carnivale to bet on him at 10 AM into small pools.

It really is funny.....and sad.
