New Pimlico Betting Rule
 

Pimlico has instituted a new rule, effective Friday, that will create a mutuel field for any horses with saddlecloth numbers 14 and above. The rule will be relevant to the Friday card, when early scratches in several races have allowed also-eligibles to run.

Is this because their tote can't handle 14 and up?

Pimlico doesn't have a tote board anymore - that's been incorporated into the video screen. So, since that is digital, hard to believe they can't add in the A/E's numbers.....

Maybe that is why Dragone was fired - he couldn't get the extra numbers up....
