Not the worst idea. There are a few runners in there.

Very good card, with a few super turf races carded to cancel out some of the dreck.

There are 2 1/2 horses that might be OK and I just hate taking short prices on horses coming back from injuries. It's more that than the field. If he's the horse he was last summer he can't lose but I'll let him beat me to find out.

agreed 1/4 and 1/2 =5

Good luck. I don't think a lot of True Quality but he did run pretty well last time. He didn't even break sharply. He better get out fast Wednesday.

On the other hand.....I am not sure I even understand your post. It wouldn't be the first time. In fact, I don't understand too much these days. I'm too consumed with Casino Drive and Big Brown.

hoovesupsideyourhead 05-12-2008 10:21 PM

you said 2 1/2 horses ..i think the 1 and the 4 look good and the 5 has half a shot..

in the sixth the 3,7,8.. look pretty good does anyone think the 1 or 4 have a shot.......

blackthroatedwind 05-12-2008 10:23 PM

I thought the 4 and 5 were the whole horses and the 1 was the half but I suppose I could be underrating him.

Good luck with Continental Reins off a 19 month layoff in the 6th. I'm guessing he'll be able to see 'em all. It's a trickier race than it appears on paper. Riptide isn't impossible but there are a few that are open. Holiday Trip will beat me on the front end.

hoovesupsideyourhead 05-12-2008 10:29 PM

all is good when you see "seeking the money" entered lol.. and my opinion is weak at best of late..

blackthroatedwind 05-12-2008 10:31 PM

The 8th is a good race. A couple of horses in there are coming off less than stellar trips/rides.

ateamstupid 05-12-2008 10:32 PM

The 6th is basically the very good turf race they carded for Friday that got rained off. I can't come up with anything cute in there, as I figure the race goes through Moral Compass and Continental Reins. Holiday Trip, is indeed, quite the chandelier.

hate to say it but the 9 owes me some cash and will probebly come up short again......the 2 is the wildcard to me the dist does not seem to suit but when good he ran with some monsters

IMO, if you take horses off 19 month layoffs, especially at reasonably short prices, you are crazy. Good luck to Continental Reins and anyone who bets him.

That would be pretty incredible considering he never ran in 2007.

To me Big Wig will be way overbet because of his connections and pedigree. Yeah, maybe he always did need more distance, and it is interesting that an AP Indy won going 6F, but his races were SLOW.

I don't get Cloud Nine at all.

I beg to differ.
