Louisville getting pounded

Just checked on weather.com and Chuchill is getting pounded with storms as we speak. Can anyone in the area give an update or that can see it on tv?

I've been watching the simo for hours and it started to pour before the Aegon Turf. It has been raining very hard, with high winds as well. Was it last year that they cancelled the race after the Oaks?

miraja2 05-02-2008 02:40 PM

I heard the weather man say that the city is, "getting pounded like a mare sent to Golden Missile."

Watching on ESPN it is pouring

Love watching all the hats hiding inside :D

Bigger NEWS!!! Hammer just hit for 200??????

skippy3481 05-02-2008 02:47 PM

282 cant short the man, thats his best real hit in like 11 years. Of course he hit the SA carryover for about 450,000 the other day but he didnt post that ticket.... Rain wise, the main track is a mess, the turf doesn't look too bad yet.

skippy3481 05-02-2008 02:48 PM

My favorite hank moment was kenny asking him about giant gizmo though, oh don't worry he hasent won in a long time and today wont be his day...someone needs to tell him he won his last start...

tjfla 05-02-2008 02:51 PM

Maybe Hank has found his niche

Just let him bet the fillies!!!

200 or 282?? He gonna lose it all tommorrow anyway LOL

Local tv guy just said the track drains so well it may be fast by the oaks

Once again Ramon tries to defy the laws of physics as two objects really cannot occupy the same space at the same time. If you watch him long enough you'll see these impatient mistake over and over!! I haven't heard how Chelokee is but it didnt look good. Totally unnecessary to try and squeeze through a pin hole like that!!

If the track is sloppy later on today, you have to wonder how much money War Pass would have taken had he had been healthy. Whether he was as good a 3 yr old as when he was a 2 yr old or whether he could get the 1 1/4, he would have been pounded at the windows one would have to think.

bad weather thru the middle of the country...eight people killed in arkansas due to tornadoes and high winds. hopefully a better weather day for everyone today.

Weather Improving

It's stopped raining now and the radar shows the precip moving eastward. Gotta love my Weather Contest Chances and there's hope for at least a good track by Derby time. Of course they'll call it fast.

That's helpful, a sloppy track at post time would have to favor on pace runners.
