Not sure about that, but thanks for the kind words.

I am going to dig into it now.....I think we can take this thing down if we all work together.

Think the 1st leg, and last three are pretty wide. I think Hemet and Kingdom Come are pretty solid, both in sheet power and trip possibilities

Turf Springs - SA

Race 4
#8 Classic Attire 5-1
Mcanally and Talemo. Horse has had plenty of chances to break maiden. Like the figs from the last two races and the switch to turf.

Race 8
#4 Returning 5-1
Mandella colt's third start and can continue to improve here and score.

Win and Place on each....

In that 4th race, I think there is some sneakyness going on. That 10 doesn't look playable but had a couple decent works, the 6 is a little scary, but the 1 could be a stone cold single given I think they are gunning to the lead from there, and has a real good work two back, plus they are jumping from Mdn Claim to MSW, which I always consider a sign of confidence.

SA 4th

The 1 does look quite good and if no one goes with him he could be gone....
Hopefully one of the stalkers or first time starters will show speed and keep him honest. Don't really want to go with the 6 or 10. The 8 should be at the back of the pack and make a run.... I guess at closer look- the pace and seeing if someone goes with the 1 is the key to the race. At 5-1 ML i still like the 8.

I may toss the 1 completely. He doesn't have the pedigree for the turf and even if he runs well Garcia will screw it up going down the hill. He might be the lone speed but his post is no picnic. It seems like a very odd spot for Cerin. I don't know if the horse has physical problems or what. Very gappy pattern and it looks like Cerin has tried just about everything with this horse.

The 7 is a must include IMO Unusual Heat, Abrams and Bejarano makes it a no-brainer. No way he goes off at 6-1. I think the 5 will take to the turf well and it looks to me like Solis chose the 5 over the 8. I also think the 6 is very playable and might include depending on how deep I end up going. The 10 may be live too. I will take a look and see if he is getting any action on the board before playing.

I don't like the 7 day return from Abrams, I know he succeeds at it, but just not a fan.

I agree about Garcia, but it might be hard to mess this one up....horse will be able to clear pretty easily in this field

TheSpyder 04-18-2008 12:23 PM

4th. Love the 7 and like the 1
5th. Like the 1 and will also play 7 as a shot

Looking more.....

What are you doing in the 7th? Odd race, horses off layoffs and most coming from turf races.

tiggerv 04-18-2008 12:42 PM

Race 1: SCRATCH #6 AUNT JO ANN; #3 +6 OVERWEIGHT, #5 +6 OVERWEIGHT

Race 2: SCRATCH #6 BALLPARK BUTTERFLY

Race 3: NO CHANGES

Race 4: SCRATCH #5 ORIENTATE SLEW

Race 5: #1 +3 OVERWEIGHT

Race 6: SCRATCH #3 CAN'T STOP SLEW, #7 QUIET PERIOD

Race 7: NO CHANGES

Race 8: SCRATCH #8 STANDING HIGH, #4 +1 OVERWEIGHT

Race 9: NO CHANGES

1,5,8,9

5 is probably my best play within the race, the only reason this would be feasible because I am singling the 5th and 6th (2 and 5)

Rootdog1 04-18-2008 01:09 PM

In the 6th....I really like Samwise, although a bit worried he may fall too far back. Kingdom Come looks good but he sprints better than he routes

Rootdog1 04-18-2008 01:10 PM

In the 7th...
what do you take of Mike Smith riding Silver Swallow? Interesting...

I think Two Times Won is interesting at a price

Number wise, his route four back was very good. Very competitive with the field, and he seems like a horse that if he is in the front he runs better. I have a feeling that Quasimodo won't even finish the race :( and there really isn't much. Samwise is very playable, but given the connections, they can beat me and I am content with it, a real bad race. The other thing about Kingdom Come is that the 8 is going to gun (Shootist) so he should get a great trip right off that horse.

The horse that peaked my interest as a bomb would be Wee Jinky, think he is a turf horse and could get the right trip/price on him today to put some win coin on him

Rootdog1 04-18-2008 01:21 PM

The price horse I like in the 6th is #8 Outside Looking In....prob wont win but playing under. He has found his game routing, big kick in the lane.

Rootdog1 04-18-2008 01:27 PM

Need some help on the 8th...impossibe.

CNak coming in for one mount today, Returning
What do you make of Carla's horse blinks off?
Cali Blaze has a great long work pattern for her comeback - must use
Ernie Owl is an expensive kin of Tale of the Cat..not a big Cassidy fan but I think this one is sneaky good

Also, Scavs...do you have any trainer stats on Brian Strong...he has a firster in the 9th - #10 California General. I like the work pattern

My problem with Kingdom Come is that I don't understand why Periban would put the worst turf rider on the West coast on his back? I am probably going 2,6,9 in this race. Shootist probably can't get the distance but speed has been deadly on the turf.

Wants him on the lead, would be my guess
