Random thought about Keeneland P6 today - Structuring
 

It seemed so long ago that we had a conversation about structuring P6's and how the A/B/C/X method works if properly used. I think today would be the perfect example of that. If you look at first five races, all were conceivably won by A's

4: 7 = A, especially after the scratch of the 2
5: 1 = A, because of Wesley, maybe one other A in the 9, with several B's
6: 3 = A, based on switch back to turf, where his best number came from, improved this year but was running on wrong surface, Van Nistolroys improve many points when get on lawn.....
7: 7 = A, she was the fastest in the race, although I felt the race could have been competitive, probably forced it because I liked the first three legs alot
8: 9 = A, this one could be argued as a possible B, but she did have two ok performances on the lawn with questionable trips, I had the 3 as an A also
9: 5 = C, I could never have had this horse as an A, or a B for that matter, but Matz being 20% 2nd time, and some other favorable numbers would have constituated a C rating

Now, Keeneland did people no favors today in the first leg with that late scratch as their was ZERO time to restructure a play based on the 7 horse.

But the fact is that, the last leg turned what was probably paying 5k to the 7, into a 20k payday because a 'C' won, so all those people that had good opinions onthe first five, get $113 because of it, because of the way they structured.

Real hard to get 6 'A's to win on a given day, and being right 5 out of 6 times, with this structure, should help you cash more tickets.

Your right scavs, and in this case you didn't need to restructure if you had the 2 as an A, because the fav. won.
