Triple Crown ?
I ask myself out of this group, who, if any, has a shot at the triple crown. I only continue to come up with one horse. Before today i liked him, i was using him, but i was not sold on him. Today i was not even sure about him and i only made a very small wager of $15 to win on him, but after today i am 100% sold. Colonel John...... What a devestating stretch run, i belive he is the real deal, i love the fact that hes tactical, he can come from well out of it, or sit close. I love tha fact that he is battle tested after being bounced around a little today, i love the face that he has faced big fields and ran well vs those big fields. I love his pedigree, and i dont mind his trainer, it seems like a lot of people on this site dislike harty, he seems to have done a great job with this horse....
what kind of price in the derby ? call me crazy but i think he gets bet hard, maybe second/third choice, i cant see him higher then 5-1 off of todays effort. |
Oh crap! I liked him a wee bit too.....

Demand value. I like Col. J but he'll hit Churchill with not a single dirt race on his resume.

Geesh, you are the curse of all curses.
Pick another horse, PLEASE. |
I think even Battaglia said it on NBC. There will be 3 heavy favorites, Big Brown, Colonel John and Pyro assuming he doesn't fall flat next weekend and everybody else will be 10-1 or higher. If you like one of those three I wouldn't expect much better than 5 or 6 to 1.

As far as the sub 20 boxes of ziti super goes, I'm a believer. The obvious ones will be there at the end. There's playable ones, and then there's 16 others. |

who's it going to be next week? |
His ability to knock a horse out is uncanny. The ultimate cooler.
