Actually asked Steve Asmussen about this one at the Fairgrounds on Risen Star day. He said that he did recuperate, is retired and will go to stud, he said where but I forgot what farm he said...sorry.

I read about Brilliant not to long ago saying that he broke a bone in one of his legs and had tohave surgery on it. Sux b/c i was always hoping he'd get a grade one race and was about 6 inches away in the Woodford on derby day last year. Sucked b/c i was really touting him for the win that day. I doubt seriously if he will come back to run after the injury.
