Hopefully this all moves out by morning so the surface has a chance to dry a little.

Aq should be synthetic. And by that I mean a proper installation ala Keeneland. They just lose too many dates to the weather.

AQ cannot use the Keeneland/Arlington/Del Mar poly mix. That's the one that balls up on the horses hooves when used in cold weather. If they would use poly, they'd have to go with the Woodbine/Turfway stuff.

Whatever the best aw surface is, that should be used. What particular type, I have no clue.

And the meaning of that ? Is there a reason Aq should continue to lose dates and NY horses not have the opportunity to run over a world class aw surface in NY ?

Aqueduct does not need polytrack or any kind of synthetic surface. If they replaced the base of the track everything would be fine, even with a dirt track.
