Happy Ticket

Just read on Dan Illman's blog that Happy Ticket foaled her Distorted Humor colt... Looking forward to seeing that colt on the track in a couple years.

I agree that horse was ALWAYS game and if you put her tenacity with the talent of distorted humor hopefully he grows up and is well put together. If the horse is "correct" that one will go for some prtty good money i think.

One of my favorite horses over the last couple years... Her "match race" with Round Pond in the Azeri a couple years ago was one of the best races I've seen in a long time.

A favorite of mine as well and had wonderful opportunity to be around her a couple years ago at Belmont during Breeders' Cup Week when she was in Barn 60.

Another of my all-time faves, Hollywood Story, dropped her Storm Cat foal a couple weeks ago too...

Finally! Hope mom and baby are fine. This filly is my favorite as evidenced by the pictures I have of her in my living room. I saw her on LA Champion's Day a couple of years ago and am so glad I did. Big smile for me today. :D

Speaking of foals... Not sure where I got this, but here's a picture of FLEET INDIAN with her recent Storm Cat foal...

She brings pure guts, matched with D-Humor's breeding... the potential is really high here. The maybe we'll be seeing this youngster at what? the 2010 ' DT Toga trip?

Wow!!

I don't know why this shocks me but they are incredibly small at birth. It is amazing how much they grow to run at 2 years of age...

I asked him that question on FormBlog. He took out the link to the pic of Distorted Humor doing her though lol.

but when they stand up, i think the first thing you notice is that their legs are just about as long as moms....

I loved her race with Round Pond in the Breeders Cup - paid $225 for a $1 exacta. Don't remember the names, but the favorite broke down, and the 2nd place finisher got DQ'd out of the exacta - leaving RP/HT.

letswastemoney 03-24-2008 02:31 AM

any guesses on the foal's name? Happy Humor perhaps? Distorted Ticket?

KirisClown 03-24-2008 02:40 AM

The Happy Hummer...

Wow Nature is amazing...With all the Fn drugs and juice pumped into that mare I would have thought she wouldn't have been able to catch and actual produce a foal..

Hardly awesome and there isn't a bigger homer for Phipps then me. Pine Island was as ugly a mover as I have ever seen. She did have a ton of guts and could run down anything given a fair track and a couple of furlongs.. Shame would have liked to see her 4 year old campaign.

Speaking of Phipps prospects shouldn't the Smuggler and Pleasant Home babies be a coming soon?

smuthg 03-24-2008 11:11 AM

Speaking of Round Pond, since she was injured and retired early, we're they able to breed her last year?
