Odd comment line

I was browsing the charts of the Remsen in formulator and ran across the oddest comment line I've ever seen. Sadly Tide Dancer who ran last in the Remsen broke down two races later in a claimer at Philly with the comment line "humanely destroyed". It's not as if anyone will ever see this in any horse's future pps except for those who access the charts of Tide Dancer's races but I just thought "broke down" would have sufficed.

Sometimes 'broke down' doesn't mean the horse was actually put down.

True,I guess it was just more information than I needed to know.

I hear you and sometimes I feel the same way... ignorance is bliss.

I guess they do that so that a person isn't wondering. I know when I read 'broke down, vanned off', I'm wondering if the horse made it or not.

Anyway, it's definitely sad when that happens. :(

it is sad
BUT....
i dont see any problem with it, like someone pointed out earlier... broke down most of the time means broke down, not put down
