premium tap ?

is he still running, and is he pointing to the world cup ?

also this 9 million doller horse jalil, i think that is it...

is he the real deal ?

Kasept 03-14-2008 03:31 AM

Premium Tap (Allam) is still running and was being pointed to the DWC but is now doubtful.

He ran poorly last in the Custodian of Two Mosques ( ), aka the King's Cup, but had run weeks earlier in a prep race for that where he was sick and actually collapsed in the gate. The Saudis have kept that quiet as there is no record of the race at all. He ran back 3 weeks later in the King's and was clearly not himself.

It's 'The Custoidan of the Two Holy Mosques' I believe.

Not just ordinary Mosques - but Holy ones!

This is indefensible. The idea of running a horse that is so sick he collapses in the gate turns my stomach. So much rhetoric has been spewed as to the superb "care" the sheiks' horses receive. This travesty reveals something entirely different. If those morons will treat Premium Tap this way, it's no wonder many horses aren't heard from again once they disappear into the desert.

OK---I will bump this... Belatedly as I had no computer for weeks ...
It is sad that coupled with Kasept's post on this horse and the trainer's less than sanguine opinion of his chances nary a squeak no less an outcry ...
The article Theatrical posted was dated March 19---significant because it was 12 days after an unsubstantiated event on March 7 concerning this horse ...
More after the race ...
In the link My Miss Storm Cat posted out of Dubai, the horse didn't even get a mention ... Makes ME wonder ... Anyone else ???? In fact, there has been much to be wondering about all this year concerning this fine animal ...
I find this amusing in light of the teeth grinding and tears in the International threads by some over a foreign horse's nosebleeds and booboos ...
I am all about the horse and his well being---any horse---but I find the selectiveness of sympathy offered and in this case, total lack of information at best disconcerting ....

umm, okay. you're outraged that there is no outcry from "others"?
I find it amusing that you yourself have been silent on this subject here even though you say that there has been much to be wondering about all year concerning this fine animal. where have YOU been?

since you are "all about the horse and his well being" why haven't you been here leading the outcry? huh?

your agenda is terribly transparent and shallow.

I believe that Prudery stated she has not had a computer for some time and that would preclude her from posting in a more timely fashion. I know for a fact that is true.

As far as her agenda is concerned, just because information is not made available on the internet does not mean that it doesn't exist.

I've not seen you posting here and this information has been up for some time.

I've tried to keep up with this horse as much as possible.....

http://www.derbytrail.com/forums/sho...ighlight=allam

While I've heard he didn't exactly look stellar the last couple of times I've never been able to find anyone to back up the claim of him collapsing in the gate. I'm not saying it didn't happen, only that reading the UAE / ERA sites and Gulf News and asking the two people I know in the UAE... I've never found it.

I've looked here too.....

http://www.frusiya.com/english/home_en2.asp

This is the last piece I've been able to find on him...

http://www.dubairacingclub.com/dubai...d=314&post=693

To be honest I've never been his biggest fan.

Maybe i go overboard about following HK and who was gelded, scratched, etc., but that info is available through the HKJC and through friends and i get a kick out of following a lot of the runners there. I know you understand that.

I don't mean to be selective in my sympathy but it's a little hard when there's next to no news about this one.

Hope he's okay and that he has a good run.

Thank you for your sincere response ...
I am not a PT googoo either, but I do respect him muchly and was dismayed that lesser had received more attention ... Interesting that in your Dubai link it is mentioned that he WON last time out at a mile ... This is what I was referring to on March 7---or I think I was ... I have heard he raced and won on that day AFTER the King's Cup ... No where has it been discussed ... That was a real puzzler ...
Be that as it may---carry on---XOX

Nothing shallow or transparent about my agenda---had you bothered to READ the post in its entirety and actually comprehended that I myself explained my absense in my post saying " belatedly " I was commenting as I did not " have a compouter for weeks " ... I put it right out there, ummm okay ????

my miss storm cat 10-06-2008 06:43 PM

I was thinking of him a couple of weeks ago... emailed the 2 places I can think of. One in SA, the other I'm-not-even-sure-where but a publication somewhere in the Gulf that has pretty good racing coverage.

No news.

I do look on occassion though.

Maybe he'll show up in Dubai. Nad Al opens November 6th...

Here's hoping he's well!
