Hi,

I went to the local OTB at lunch to bet Familiar Territory to win and place yesterday, he went off at 7/2 to win. Had to get back to work and did not wait see the payouts. Watched the replay on HRTV last night and they posted payouts for Curlin: $2.40 to win and $2.10 to place, and to my surprise $9.40 on Familiar Territory to place. I believe the show horse was over $80. I thought HRTV might have posted the wrong prices but went to OTB at lunch today my place bet paid $9.20 after their takeout. Can anyone explain where all the money was in the Place/Show pool for this to occur?
