There was due to be a horse named Cape Of Storms running at Southwell in the UK tomorrow.

Just a random piece of information.

pgiaco 01-21-2008 03:40 PM

Was shocked when Cape of Storms was approved by the Jockey Club in that there seems to one in NZ as well as the UK.

Scav 01-21-2008 03:45 PM

Bye bye Mr. Johnson.....

As long as they are all bred in different countries, it should be fine. I remember I was at a track called Uttoxeter a couple of years ago and there were two horses in the same race with the exact same name. One was bred in the UK and the other bred in France.

Exactly. That horse was SO MUCH the best. He pulled a "I SEE AN OPENING AND GONNA PRAY THE RAIL OPENS UP" move that never works. The good jocks leave that opening behind the hilarious speed 9 times out of 10, it is a trap. I could just see Chuck's expressions during the race right when he made that middle move and then threw an Andre the Giant chokehold on the horse.
