NY: Bruno backs off; Hayward ambivilant

Joe Bruno backs off the simo negotiating rights (etc.) demand as well as that top NYRA management leave.. Sticks to guns on <30 year term... >20 appears reasonible to him.. Thinks deal can wrap before Tuesday.

Meanwhile though, Charlie Hayward is far less enthusiastic saying substancial issues remain.

The NYSRWB choses to yield situation to Oversight Committee for post Jan. 1 deadline activities...

Being that the length was the only thing that seemed negotiable I'm hardly surprised. Though, I'm sure Joe could have worked out a much better deal on the simulcast rights than NYRA did. Exclusive for Magna, I assume, at 1% net on handle?

Atleast at Churchill a few thousand show up. Maybe they could make the Belmont parking lot a car dealership. Oh, they already have something similar to that.

I wouldn't worry, this deal will eventually get done, and in 2 yrs the feds will be there investigating once again.

And you'll be here in two years regardless of what the outcome is?

Unlike you, I am a great handicapper and contribute something. Just look at the brilliant picks (all 10-1 and up in ML)i gave out here today. A nice $272 profit for the $20AB better, which I was today.

Across the board. Awesome.

It is all about money and winning it. Nothing else.

Yeah but I'm playing $5 win bets. I learned the hard way with across the board bets. They are for people who aren't confident in their selections.

Corrupt politicians love NYRA. They go hand in hand.

Don't worry, in 8 years when Spitzer runs for President he will take down NYRA and tell the whole country how he took down organized crime, which is basically what NYRA is.

easy richard....
