Interestingly enough, Bob Lepenta bought him as a yearling for $140K. He sold him at a strong loss for $42,000 at Keeneland April this year....and he's a guy who rarely is willing to cut loose his pinhooks for a loss.
I didn't hear the Haskins segment - but I'd assume his stock must have soared since April to be a hot firster - rarely are types who sell for 3.5 times less at 2yo sales than they did as yearlings good bets on debut. |
Can't you even spell his name right?
|
Says the man who just spelled Johnny V's last name with an 's' instead of a 'z' in the AQU cancellation thread.

Bob LaPenta didn't cancel racing at Aqueduct without being involved in the races......he deserves respect Johnny V doesn't. |
I just hope that one day they put a statue of Johnny V. next to the Sea Hero one at Saratoga.
Or - name a street after him like they did with Bird Town. Both no doubt ways of showing respect to owners. |
