More bad news for Gulfstream

Seminole Tribe reaches agreement with State to begin offering blackjack, baccarat and Vegas-style slots.

In other related news, transformation of the Gulfstream slots operation continues on target.

"South Florida's Hottest Video Poker Room!"
"New and Exciting Penny Slot Machines"

You cannot make this stuff up.

In other, unrealted and strictly tertiary news, Gulfstream's first condition book is out and features two exciting new developments:
- Races at many levels restricted to Florida breds only
- $12.5k Maiden Claimers running for a purse of $9,000.

So while the year-round Florida people were successfully bargaining for these changes to the races to be carded and -- simultaneously -- the Seminoles were able to somehow get Crist to reverse his campaign position on expanded gaming, the Gulfstream braintrust was working hard on bringing us penny slots and the areas "hottest" video poker room.

You cannot make this stuff up.

"Pass a Good Time" at Fair Grounds this Winter

Welcome mat is out in Louisiana for disenchanted Gulfstream trainers. jockeys, owners, and bettors. Come to Louisiana and "pass a good time" with us here.

Mild winter weather, great purse structure, turf racing, and best food on the planet... what else do you need? Fair Grounds, baby, Fair Grounds!

And rumor has it some are coming, although the T-Day stakes seem to be the regular crowd.

Early nominations for Thanksgiving and pp's are up on the website, don't know if you have to be a member but it is easy to get a login.

6 more days, I just can't wait....:D
