Azeri.. Anyone know?
 

Got to thinking about her. Anyone know if she has any foals and if so how many and how old they are now. She was one of my favorites a few years back and have never really heard anything about her since she retired.

She was barren to Storm Cat in 2006, had an A.P. Indy colt in 2007 and was bred back to Storm Cat this year.

Azeri retired as I believe the richest female in history. She had a beutiful baby boy by another fav...AP Indy. She was supposed to be sent back to Storm Cat but have not heard whethjer or not any success came from that meeting. I too love Azeri...hence my screen name and avatar...tee hee

I had been thinking Storm Cat all this time but someone swore to me they thought she'd been bred to Giant's Causeway. No articles or anything were shown to me so who knows. I figure if she hadn't taken with Storm Cat we'd have heard but maybe not.

In US history, yeah I think you're right. $4 million, wonderful mare.

But internationally, NZ mare Sunline ($11.3m) and Australian Makybe Diva ($14.5m) won more. Those are $NZ and $Australia respectively, and both of those currencies are worth about US$0.50. So they're about US $6 million and $7 million.

For me she was #1. She took on the boys alot and whooped their butts.

The bloodhorse article I read mentions that she was barren the first time they tried her with Storm Cat and then she had the AP Indy colt. Now she is booked back to Storm Cat. if first you don't succeed try try again.
