it's to early for basketball. there's a couple REALLY good weeks of college football left.

let's see tonight what chuck's cats can do with the quack attack. the first national look at the ducks since they beat michigan and what ugly uni's will they wear?

IMHO...College Basketball is by far the best televised Team Sport there is....March Madness is THE greatest tournament in the land...
Mostly follow the Big East teams...especially the Orangemen of Syracuse....but the ACC ain't bad to watch either...

Yep, it is unbelievable. To me there is nothing better then cheering for a midmajor team like SIU. They really aren't a mid major anymore because we have a better recruiting class then DUKE coming in, pretty amazing.

That freshman for 'Cuse is pretty serious

I am in the minority, but college b-ball is horrible. They have no clue how to move the ball, rotate on defense, spread the floor, exposing the weakness of the opponent, you touch the player with the ball and it is a foul, the shooting is horendous. I prefer the NBA much better. They know how to move the ball around the arc, rotate on defense, expose a weakness on the other team and the talent is so much better.

One would hope the talent is better, considering the NBA is a PRO league...

If you want to watch the NBA, just tune in for the last 10 minutes. I am unable to watch the NBA, I do like College Basketball, kids playing their hearts out.

This is my point....I don't understand why anyone would want to watch lesser talent. It would be like watching a $10k maiden race for three year olds instead of watching the Derby. Why watch a bunch of semi-talented college b-ball players instead of some of the best athletes in the world. There have been a handful of college teams that I really enjoyed watching the past 20 years. I liked the Florida team the past 2 years, Kentucky when Pitino was there and UNLV in the early 90's.

I would much rather watch college hoops where athletes play for the name on the front instead of the name on their back....Stephan Marbury anyone???

I'm with Oregon in every college sport, this season's basketball will be no different.

Exactly!!!....and there are not too many stakes horses that you see in 10K claimers...whereas much of the NBA talent comes from the college ranks

Oh but every stakes horse starts out as a maiden.

You have got to be kidding me on this one. Gordon from IU, the guard down in Memphis and list goes on and on...these kids are playing for themself. They want to be the #1 pick in the NBA. You are delusional if you think these kids are playing for their school.

This much is very true. Most of the top five or six freshmen this year are only in college now because of the NBA rule requiring them to go for at least one year. Same was the case with Kevin Durant and Greg Oden last year. Living here in Los Angeles, we benefit by getting Kevin Love at UCLA and O.J. Mayo at USC for a one year NBA tryout. That's all this is. If you want to believe that they are playing for their school and not to showcase their own talents, I'd like to sell you some oceanfront property.......in downtown Phoenix. What's even more ridiculous is that many people still want to refer to those kids as student athletes. This is a very silly rule, IMO. These kids don't even have to go to class AT ALL during the second half of the school year. As long as they maintain their elegibility through the first semester, they are elegible for the second, at which point they can stop going to class. They have to remain enrolled but they don't have to show up for a single class since maintaining their elegibility for the next season is a moot point.

I will grant you that the majority of players are playing for the team. But the top couple of players at most of the major programs are playing to showcase themselves.

Considering Tyler had 0 points in the second half and Ty had 5 points and 1 assist for the entire game...yea, I will take the win.
