Doubt it.

According to Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com, a rumored Joe Crede-for-Johnny Damon swap is unlikely.

Rosenthal reports that general manager Brian Cashman "doesn't expect the third-base market to develop quickly" and "figures to end up with better options than Crede for one year." Whether or not the Yankees are involved, it certainly sounds like the White Sox are openly shopping Crede.

THe Sox are shopping a lot of people..I took that rumor a little more seriously because Williams didn't shoot it down and Cashman and Williams get along and always look to do trades together, but, it just a rumor

Good, I have Josh Fields in my keeper league and would rather have him at 3B than in the OF.

I think the Sox would too..His play in left field made Podsenik look like Clemente. Plus he's millions cheaper than Crede and has no back problems.

Potentially losing your only playoff tested pitcher wouldn't seem to be good news...

Hard to believe they could get much for Crede since he was hardly Mike Schmidt before his back went out.

They're banking on the one good year he had before injury. Funny you mention Michael Jack. Philly is in line for a 3B, but is willing to enter the season with a Wes Helms/Greg Dobbs platoon. They want to concentrate on pitching.
