Calder today

Speed rules. Nothing coming off the pace to win. Just a note considering the Summit is in five days.

Thanks. Looks like this year its the Summit of Chalk. Lost in a Fog, Dubai Escapade, Bordornaro.

Sure is holding. I missed the 3rd race (ran 2,3) and the 7th ( ran 2,3) or else I'd have swept the card on p-3's and the early p-4. Some decent winners... $10, $10, $13, but missing that 3rd rae stopped a very nice day.

good luck.

Another wire-to-wire winner in the last.

On a different topic, can someone tell me how the late Pick 3 paid more than the late Pick 4? Did they not announce the scratches until really late?

It's Wegeilia baby... Look out..

Steve, I assume Weigelia was scratched this past weekend? I saw his name in a dirt sprint at Monmouth.

dr. fager 07-10-2006 03:53 PM

He was scratched out of the small stakes turf sprint at Delaware.

He was also scratched out of the Mr Prosepctor at Monmouth. I just checked. Not sure why he was entered there after his last romp on the turf.

He's running in the Smile. Probably will be a contentious race. LITF the deserving chalk, but not an unbeatable one.

Last I read, Too Mch Bling ws going to Calder as well for the Carry Back.

Another good race will be rn a week later on the 22nd. $250k going 2 miles on the turf. Fairly popular,,,, 29 noms.

Gander 07-10-2006 04:08 PM

I love this day of racing.

Kasept 07-10-2006 04:26 PM

I'll be there! And I'm rather juiced for it too...
