Good ole Act of War in the race, was a huge fan of this horse and still are, just getting a little long in the tooth.....

Scav 10-24-2007 02:47 PM

Claim or no claim?

pmacdaddy 10-24-2007 02:49 PM

Anything? Red Alert looked good.

Kasept 10-24-2007 02:50 PM

Lost the shake on Red Alert.. 3 way..

pmacdaddy 10-24-2007 02:52 PM

Damn! Really liked that one...

sumitas 10-24-2007 02:54 PM

darn, the Langfuhr, the 2nd horse in the race. he ran ok too. Quick Pay.
Red Alert looked very strong in wiring the field.

I'm surprised to see that the same trainer can claim two different horses out of the same race - even worse, for the same owner.

Clearly, I don't know the rules in KY. How many claims can you drop on the same horse for different owners? If you can do more than one, maybe it's time to license a couple extra owners, and drop multiple claims, with the understanding the horse gets "sold" to DT at the end of 30 days......

No better way to improve your odds in a shake than to have more than one pill in the bottle. And if you need some tips on how to do that, just ask Robert Cole how he used to do it in MD.....

You can make multiple claims in the same race, just not on the same horse...legally....

Fridays card has some possibilities though the Thursday card is pretty weak. I will talk to Steve and we will come up with gameplan # 31.

Good Luck!

Really enjoying following along, even though we have not been lucky so far.

Danzig 10-24-2007 06:20 PM

hm, two year old race on friday. maybe something in there?

golfer 10-24-2007 06:53 PM

Chuck, just wondering which trainers, if any, would you be extra-hesitant to claim a horse from?

There are a couple...Dutrow, Frankel, Bernie Flint, M.Mitchell, ...off the top of my head. Some because they never give anything away, some because they may have "extra" help.
