07-02 looking at KEE claim..

Don't want to give too much info, but Chuck has his eye on a runner between now and Sunday at KEE...

Came very close to a CLM yesterday, but held off as there was concern over that one nursing a knee...

More via Email as things unfold...

Hopefully it is Louderfasterharder just for the fun of owning a gelding by that name.

Races 2 & 3, right?

No Claim today.. Both scratched!

The 2 horses that Chuck was considering for claim today in the KEE 3rd have been scratched!

#6 General Purpose and #7 Diamond Studded were the pair Chuck had considered, and he made his way to Lexington this morning to eyeball them. Once there, he found out neither would be going in the $16,000 plating affair...

On to Wednesday's card, where the 5th and 9th races both have interesting potential $25k taggers...

Bigsmc 10-14-2007 12:37 PM

That's actually good news to me because I was looking at what was left in that race and wasn't excited about claiming any of the runners that will go to post.

Good luck Wednesday.

Hopefully, we get who we want in the 5th. I like the idea of claiming a filly, rather than a gelding or a low-class colt... for residual value.

Any thoughts given to trying to find a Cali horse that hasn't taken to the synthetics and might benefit from a move back to the dirt? Or is that just too impractical for our operation without having Chuck out there and the post claim cross country ship? Just seems like there is an angle there that no one is really taking advantage of.

Not a bad idea but not practical on our budget
