You know, Tiago looked pretty good over the weekend. I think he has a real shot in the classic (if he goes).

That is funny

MisterB 10-01-2007 12:50 PM

Will they remain the same next week?;)

letswastemoney 10-01-2007 01:01 PM

That was Tiago's highest beyer. It's not unreasonable to think he can make one more jump.

freddymo 10-01-2007 01:25 PM

It's a synthetic track number there is no way to tell what happens when he gets back to the dirt. Tiago is pretty slow isn't he?

TitanSooner 10-01-2007 01:56 PM

That's why they race

robfla 10-01-2007 02:03 PM

i really hope they keep trippi's storm at a mile.

Well you never know how he may progress from Synthetic to Dirt. It seem to work for Street Sense twice now. I see no reason why Tiago couldn't improve. Besides, the race may fall apart on the front end and Tiago may pick up the pieces. You never know that is why people make them race so we can find out the answers to such pressing questions.

you might be right, the number could be low based on the same logic. I think its hard to watch him in his last two and think he has not improved at all. He is better then his brother and his brother finished 4th last year in this race.

I find it interesting that Fabulous Strike got a 114 and Globilization got a 97 for winning a maiden race earlier on in the card.

Fabulous Strike ran a final time 23 Beyer points faster...yet the margin between the two was only 17 points.

I was thinking less then 110 right after the race....probably more along the lines of "this horse just won the biggest 6f sprint in new york, he had to run as fast as he did at mountaineer"

blackthroatedwind 10-01-2007 09:34 PM

I think the Globalization fig is too high.

wouldnt that lead to an even lower fab strike beyer..

I don't get the knocks on Tiago. He's a 3-year-old, which is a good asset with this group of older horses. We know he can go 10 furlongs. And I think he's been unfairly aligned with Giacomo, just cause they're related. He ran well in the Goodwood... tracked a fast pace (closer than usual) made his own breaks on the far turn and was super game. If he moves forward, he's right there, isn't he?
