Thoughts and Prayers

I just received an email from one of our original board members here and he asked me to pass along this news as he won't be around for a few days.

Samarta's (Sam) father passed away around 11:00am this morning. He had been ill for a while and took a turn for the worse this weekend.

Sending plenty of prayers to Sam, Marta and the rest of the family.

God Bless.

Thanks,Kev......had no idea that things had gotten worse! Sam's a good guy, and I'm sure this is rough on the family as well. Prayers for all!

Thanks to all for the kind words.....You know I was telling Kev last night in an email, that this board always seems to find the right words....it's greatly appreciated......I think I've told this story before on here. but one of my all time favorite memories of my Dad had to do with racing....and I realize I'm dating myself here.....My Dad was one of my little league coaches when I was growing up and he was 3rd base coach. We had a game the day Secretariat was running in the Belmont. I wanted to watch the race but couldn't because I had to be at the field when the tv coverage started. Well Dad said he would drop me off, go home and watch the race and be back in time for the start of the game...I hit leadoff and when it was time to start Dad hadn't arrived. I get on and as I was standing on 1st, Dad came through the dugout and took his place at 3rd base. I made it to second base and the next kid gets a hit and as I was rounding 3rd waiting for the signal from Dad, he just waived me on and as I passed him, he yells out Secretariat by 31!

Thanks again...

Sam

I'm so sorry about your Dad.....

Thank you for sharing such a special and personal memory.

I'm sure he was very proud of you and that he knew how much you loved him.

Your family is in my prayers.
