Not everything stays in Vegas/Bay Meadows

Anyone see the "not everything stays in Vegas" commercial for Bay Meadows?

Maybe it's been done similarly for other tracks?

I love it!

If you haven't seen it....the door bell is rung and we only see a nicely manicured female fingernail. A fingernail adorned with creative polish.

An average guy in a white shirt opens the door, and we see the fingernail belongs to a girl in an orange halter top who leaps into his flabbergasted arms, saying the equivalent of "I missed you so much!"

While she has her legs wrapped around him, embracing in a one-way hug, the guy in the white shirt's "Courtney Cox looking" wife appears from around the corner and says,

"Honey, who's that?"

Not everything stays in Vegas, the announcer admonishes.

Come out to Bay Meadows is the message.

I loved it!

Aren't they getting ready to demolish Bay Meadows?

The rumors of it's demise have been greatly exaggerated.

Well, not really exaggerated too much.

Seriously, the fat lady hasn't sung yet, but she's been seen in the building.

The "backdoor" part of the story is that Pleasanton is now working to get polytrack and is angling to get 10 to 12 weeks of the Bay Meadows racing if/when it goes. Pleasanton is one of the nicer summer fair tracks in the Bay Area, and is purported to be the oldest mile track in North America.

Thanks goodness for Pleasanton. Where else would Russell go to win races!?

He could always go back to Seattle. That's where they all came from I think...Or maybe he will move his tack to Commandante...
