SAT Selections - La Downs & Ky Downs

Louisana Downs

R6 - Sunday Silence

#8 Cherokee Triangle - Solid in three turf starts including a nice 2nd in the Miller Lite Cradle at River Downs. Robby takes the mount.
#7 Be Bold - Makes 2nd start for high % turf trainer and Bejarano hops aboard.
#1 Casino Gambler - Makes turf debut for new barn after battling top Juvys in South Florida.
#4 Canny - Looks to improve off his 2nd in the Sunny's Halo.

R8 - Happy Ticket - Start of the PK4

#7 Cato Major - Made auspicious start in turf sprint at Saratoga.
#3 Zee Zee - Also impressed at Saratoga for Mott and looks tough to beat here.
#5 American Prize - Failed at odds on in the prep race and looks to bounce back.
#2 Soar Above - Longshot passed a few in turf debut and capable of improving.

R9 - DeBartolo

#2 Wine Diva - Adds the hood for Mouton and Perrodin is a top turf rider in the Bayou.
#8 Nice Inheritance - Makes 2nd start off a break and will get a firm turf course.
#6 Whisper to Me - Pin Oak homebred is coming in off a win and can duplicate that performance.
#3 Tensas Yucatan - La Bred has the best BSF coming in.

R10 - G2 Super Derby

#9 Grasshopper - Gave the Derby champ all he wanted in the Travers and catches a break here.
#10 Going Ballistic - Runs his race on any surface. Must used underneath.
#3 Beta Capo - Asmussen runner capable of hitting the board here.
#6 Past the Point - Lightly raced runner has improved BSF wise in every start.

R11 - Unbridled BC Handicap

#1 Middleweight - Local horse should have a nice inside-out trip behind the speed.
#7 Go Between - Has the back class to be a force when it counts.
#6 Costa Rising - Has been freakish in last two, but will be an risky underlay here.
#5 Gigawatt - Will probably comprimise his chances by winging up front with Costa Rising.

PK4 - 2 3 5 7 with 2 6 8 with 9 with 1 5 6 7 = $48 for a buck.

Kentucky Downs

R7 - Franklin

#2 Obi Wan Kenobi - Hancock homebred is 3 for 8 this year and was much the best versus similar company at Ellis Park. Draw a line 2 back when he caught a yielding turf course at Arlington Park.
#6 Art Moderne - Packing bullets at Calder for new barn that wins at 39% with runners coming back after 6 months.
#3 Salinja - Makes 3rd start off the break and should be forwardly placed.

R9 - Ky Cup Turf Sprint

#8 Shark - Won off similar layoff in Jan 07 at the Fair Grounds.
#7 Ecclesiastic - G3 Jaipur winner at long odds validated that effort with strong Turf Sprint at Calder.
#2 Atticus Kristy - Defending champ is not camera shy.

R11 - Ky Cup Ladies

#4 Rich Fantasy - Should show some speed for Werner and speed has been successful at the meet.
#3 Quiet Royal - Pletcher runner is in very good form.
#1 Royal Pleasure - Penn bred has won 2 out of last 3.
#11 El Bank Robber - Wolfson tabs Valdivia again with runner that needs to step it up.

R14 - G3 Ky Cup Turf

#7 Lord Carmen - Just missed in last year's running and picks up top jock.
#1 Starspangled Gator - Will try to do it on the front end.
#6 General Jumbo (GB) - Motion ships with a purpose.
#8 Fri Guy - Will appreciate not seeing G1 caliber runners.

Good Racing Luck

LA Downs - Race 8

Also really like Cato Major here at 6-1.
His first time out figure is 3 points faster than anyone else here and if he can pair up or move forward watch out. Kimmel ships for the money.

Playa, the morning line is off, IMO 3-1 seems more realistic and still extremely playable.

agreed about the ML, if youre looking for value in the race id say its american prize if she goes off 6-1 or higher. the pedigree says shell appreciate the added real estate, also shes been very competitve in all 3 stakes after her maiden win and she had a rough trip last time. reunites with luis q which never hurts and already has s start over the local sod

With all of the sheet players out there no way 6-1. But 3-1 as Bogey states still seems like a good play.
